The food, fuel, and materials that sustain our way of life come from a vast network of communities located in the most naturally abundant–and most vulnerable–places on Earth. Too often, the people living in these communities are not included in development decisions, such as if and how resources are developed, which can result in exploitative, unjust, or ecologically destructive impacts.

The Resource Exchange, a project by RESOLVE, is composed of global and local partnerships serving a large user group that includes community leaders, grass roots organizations, land use planners and other government officials, along with members from the private sector. The project aims to facilitate positive change in natural resource management by connecting people local to resource-abundant areas to the tools, information, funding, expertise and networks they need to drive community-led decisions.

 

The winning logo concept, playfully titled "Venn Dialogue,"  combines interlocking four speech bubble shapes arranged like the petals of a flower to represent the convergence of many voices and partnerships, joined in stewardship for the natural world.
