For the past several years, the Women's Board of UCCRF have hired Ogilvy Chicago (pro bono) to design the invitation and produce the video content for their annual Breakthrough Ball, a formal fundraising event benefiting cancer research efforts. I had the privilege of designing the 2019 invitation, giving me the opportunity to not only work with some wonderful people for a wonderful cause, but also flex some print production chops.

The theme for the 2019 Breakthrough Ball was "Lighting the Path to a Breakthrough." In my exploration, I played with the concepts of "light," "the path," and "science" in different ways, experimenting with a vibrant neon gradient, juxtaposing elegant and tech-y type, and winding pathways. The end result featured sparkling gradient elements coated with textured glitter and twisting text paths coated with glossy vinyl overlays.
